TeachMe Thursday: Crocheting with Corinne
September 15, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Experience the DCC Makerspace in a new way on TeachMe Thursdays! Every other Thursday, a DCC student or alum will visit the DCC Makerspace to share some of their favorite creative modes of making, with an opportunity for you to join in and learn directly from them! No matter your skill or experience level, stop by between 7-9pm to learn more. Materials will be provided to get you started!
The DCC Makerspace will remain open until midnight for your enjoyment.
About this TeachMe Thursday:
On September 15, Corinne Martin (Lambda class) will be crocheting in the DCC Makerspace: “For DCC’s first TeachMe Thursday, we’re going to be crocheting stuffed animals! Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting small stuffed creations, and it’s a really fun and beginner-friendly way to get into crocheting. Yarn and crochet hooks will be provided, so everyone will get to follow along to learn the basic stitches, and use them to get started crafting their own stuffed animals!”
About Corinne:
“Hi everyone!! I’m Corinne, and I’m in the Lambda class of DCC. I’m a junior bioengineering major, and on campus, I do research in the Jewell Lab and volunteer as a tutor with The Every Child Project. I’ve been doing Taekwondo since I was six years old, and currently my favorite activities are yoga, rock climbing, cooking, baking, and crocheting!”
