Spring Makerspaces Tour: Immersive Media Design Labs

In lieu of Design Camps and TeachMe Thursday Workshops, Dr. Lu is hosting a Spring Makerspaces Tour of key creative destinations on campus this semester. Boost your DCC Family with 100 points while you explore some of the resources UMD has to offer beyond Prince Frederick Hall. Any student who completes the entire tour will receive 500 additional Family Points; but, space will be limited for each “field trip,” so be sure to reserve a spot!

For this third stop, we’ll visit the Immersive Media Design Labs on Wednesday, April 16, at 5pm. The creative home for the new Immersive Media Design major at UMD, these labs offer visitors a chance to engage in exciting technologies, such as AR and VR. Our tour will led by the New Works Incubator‘s Immersive Media Technician, Ian McDermott.
