Join us for the first night in the DCC SoundStudio for the Fall 2024 semester!

Join us for the first night in the DCC Makerspace for the Fall 2024 semester!

This annual celebration convenes the DCC community—past and present students, alongside esteemed university faculty and administrators—to honor the five most outstanding Capstone projects from the previous spring. Capstone Awards are our program’s opportunity to bestow both lofty accolades and monetary prizes ($500 per award) upon some of our most engaged, talented, and promising students. Join us this year to celebrate and hear about the extraordinary work accomplished by members of our Nu class!

Dinner will be provided.

This is a limited-capacity event; RSVP is required for all attendees. Current students who attend the Capstone Awards Ceremony will earn 50 Family points.

In this one-day Design Camp, the Xi class’s Tracy T., a 2024-2025 Makerspace Manager, will introduce you to fundamentals for crochet.

Current DCC students who complete this Design Camp will receive 200 points in the annual DCC First Family contest. RSVP is required and space is limited.

Join DCC’s own Director Damien Pfister—the master of homemade artisanal hot sauce!!!—to learn about fermentation in this one-day Design Camp.

This two-day Design Camp (October 14 + 15, 5-6:30pm) is hosted by Caroline D., of DCC’s Mu class. Caroline specializes in VJing and DJing with code and has returned to Prince Frederick with an even more robust skillset after graduating early from the University of Maryland.

Of livecoding, Caroline says it is “an application of creative technology built on open source and electronic music subcultures.” She aims to inspire current DCC students to engage with the local DMV music scene and attend an upcoming Arts For All-funded livecoding event in Washington, DC, in November 2024.

Current DCC students who complete this Design Camp (both days) will receive 200 points in the annual DCC First Family contest. RSVP is required and space is limited.
