Through discussions with Bryan Quinn, the Associate Director for the Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics, we were introduced to a previous project that he worked on, a prototype of a solar powered bike rack complete with a mesh frame that a vertical garden could be grown on. This project was built mainly as a demonstration for Maryland Day on the benefits of sustainable technology. Below are pictures of the setup.
