Fionna Long, "Show and Tell: Art and Anthropomorphism in Storytelling"
This project explores the concept of anthropomorphism and its use as a storytelling device, specifically through a variety of art mediums. Each artist below participated in a six-week study in which they chose an inanimate object to form an emotional connection with and subsequently anthropomorphize. These objects then became the subjects of their narrative art. The aim was to curate a collection of artwork that serves both as an empirical experiment looking at various factors which contribute to anthropomorphism as well as a source of inspiration for artists who are looking to overcome creative blocks and wish to reflect on their creative processes.
